In September of 2007, 16 employees participated in CPR & defibrillator training conducted by the Atkinson Fire Department. Palmer Gas / Ermer Oil Company, has purchased an automated defibrillator that calls the Atkinson Fire Department when the cabinet is opened.
Napoleon Fireplaces
Product: Napoleon Propane Gas Fireplace Inserts
Hazard: Delayed ignition due to a build-up of propane gas can cause the insert�s glass cover to break, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Wolf Steel has received one report of a consumer who suffered minor lacerations when the glass cover shattered.
This recall involves Napoleon propane GDI44 gas fireplace inserts. Model number GDI44 is located on the front cover of the operating instructions or on the rating label found behind the right side panel next to the insert�s viewing glass. The glass size is 36" wide and 22" high. Napoleon natural gas GDI44 inserts are not affected by this recall.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Rinnai America Corp., today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Name of Product: Direct-Vent Wall Furnaces, Models RHFE 431 and RHFE 556
Hazard: A gasket in the unit can fail, posing a risk of poisonous carbon monoxide gas leaking into the home.
Description: The recall involves Rinnai EnergySaver Direct-Vent Wall Furnaces, Models RHFE 431 and RHFE 556. They are either natural gas or LP gas (propane) fueled. The following model numbers are included in the recall:

The model number is printed on the top of the rating plate located on the right side of the unit. The recall includes only those units manufactured from February 2000 through December 2007. The manufacturing date code is the first four digits of the serial number, written as YY MM, and is located at the bottom of the rating plate.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the furnace immediately and contact the firm to arrange for the installation of a free repair kit.
